Youngest Advisor, Highest NPS Scores

December 23, 2022 (2y ago)

Eight months ago, I walked into my first client meeting with serious imposter syndrome. Today, I have the highest Net Promoter Scores of any advisor at my company. Being the youngest with the least experience became my advantage, not my weakness.

Here's what changed everything: I stopped pretending to know everything and started teaching everything I knew. Over 50 attorneys learned financial literacy from someone who spoke their language. More than 30 law firms went through budgeting processes that actually made sense to them.

The secret wasn't complex financial models or industry jargon. It was translating CFO-level insights into actionable steps that busy professionals could implement. When you empower clients instead of impressing them, the scores take care of themselves.

Imposter syndrome vanishes when you deliver real value. Age and experience matter less than understanding and execution. My software engineering background taught me to break complex problems into simple solutions - turns out that's exactly what law firms needed from their CFO.
